There are people, situations, and even mindsets designed to drain you of your potential, rob you of your passion, and sabotage your progress. These are what I call ‘Destiny Suckers.’ They operate subtly but their impact is loud, aiming to pull you off course and keep you from stepping into your God-given purpose.

Recognizing Destiny Suckers:
🔗 Unhealthy Relationships – Individuals who continually pull on your anointing without any desire to grow, change, or honor what God has placed in you.
🪤 False Promises and Manipulation – Leaders or influencers who make promises of opportunity but only use you for their own gain.
🩸 Emotional Drainers – Those who attempt to use trauma, manipulation, or guilt to keep you locked in cycles of pain and distraction.
⛓️ Distractions and Unnecessary Obligations – Time-wasting activities and obligations that draw you away from your God-given assignment.
Personal Experience:
When I was young in ministry, I faced some hard lessons. I poured out endlessly for people who only pulled on the anointing but never truly wanted to grow or change. I remember serving a church where I was running myself ragged, with the senior pastor lying about me behind my back. The enemy sent that church to delay my purpose, trying to derail me from what God called me to accomplish.
Those experiences were painful, but they were also training grounds for what I’m doing now. God used those trials to sharpen my discernment, strengthen my resolve, and establish boundaries that protect my calling.
I’ve learned to establish boundaries that guard my time, energy, and focus. I fiercely protect my family, set clear expectations in ministry, and surround myself with those who celebrate my calling, not exploit it.
🔥 Keys to Overcoming Destiny Suckers:
🔍 Discernment – Develop the ability to identify motives, intentions, and distractions quickly. Ask God to sharpen your spiritual senses.
🛡️ Boundaries – Set clear and healthy boundaries to protect your time, energy, and calling. Boundaries are not walls to keep people out but gates to protect what God has entrusted to you.
🤝 Alignment – Surround yourself with people who celebrate your calling, encourage your growth, and speak life into your journey.
🤲 Forgiveness and Release – Forgive those who have tried to hold you back and release them to God. This is crucial for maintaining a pure heart and clear focus.
🎯 Focused Pursuit – Keep your eyes on Jesus and your assignment. Be intentional about where you invest your time and energy.
The Power of Boundaries:
I learned through experience that boundaries are essential for guarding your purpose. They allow you to focus your energy on the assignments God has placed before you. Without healthy boundaries, destiny suckers will continue to drain you, ultimately delaying your progress.
Moving Forward:
When you identify a destiny sucker, you must make a conscious decision to cut off their influence and refocus on your purpose. This is especially important now as I’m planting churches and traveling to the nations. The enemy will use distractions and manipulations to hinder your assignment, but through discernment and boundaries, you can remain steadfast and effective.
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I decree and declare in the Name of Jesus, every destiny sucker sent to hinder my progress is exposed and expelled! Every negative word and wrong connection attempting to delay my assignment is severed and dismantled. I am surrounded by divine alignments, godly connections, and supernatural favor. I declare clarity of vision, strength of purpose, and supernatural protection over my destiny!
I am unstoppable, unmovable, and positioned for breakthrough. What God has placed within me will not be aborted, delayed, or diminished. My destiny is secure, and every destiny sucker has been cast down and rendered powerless in Jesus’ Name! 🙌🔥
